Study of electron structure of semiconductors with the scope for exploitation in electronics and opto-electronics. Analysis of localized electron levels of impurities and point defects and their effect on charge transport and optical properties of semiconductors. The subject of studies make the elementary (Si) and compound (InP, GaP, GaAs, CdTe etc.) crystals. Experimentally is played on Deep Level Transient Spectroscopy (DLTS), temperature dependent Hall effect measurements, photo- and electro-luminescence at low temperatures and energetically resolved radiation detection. Theoretically computer modelling of electron structure and transport properties of semiconductor and semi-insulator hetero-structures is in the scope of interest. Electrophoretic deposition of metal nanoparticles onto semicondustors and their characterization.
