Founded in 1955, Chuo Precision Industrial Co., Ltd., has achieved individual results through steady growth as a member of the precision technology industry. Based on our Tool Scope brand of industrial microscopes, Chuo Precision Industrial has earned many loyal customers through the design, manufacture, and sales of optical measuring instruments. In 1964, the company became a member of the Japan Optical Measuring Instruments Manufacturers' Association.
The Optical Unit product line, including the general-purpose holography interferometer developed in 1967, is being used by almost all the research facilities and universities in Japan. These customers are greatly valued by Chuo Precision Industrial, and the company is working hard to develop new products that meet the needs of a new generation.
The company's precision motorized stage units are one of our popular products, which have grown to meet client demands. This has led to the launch of the MechatronicsMotorized Stages, providing added functions. Including many practical features, and a full line of easy-to-use models, this product is meeting the expectations of engineers in Japan and around the world.
In 1990, Chuo Precision Industrial won the New Product Prize at the Small Business Outstanding New Technology Awards for our straightness measurement device, the Straighter, which uses laser technology. In 1995, we introduced a liquid crystal evaluation device, OMS, which has become popular with many customers. Furthermore, we have recently completed the Lineopt high-speed follow-up auto-focus for electric zoom scopes, as well as the single-cell manipulation supporting robot, which is a support system for efficiently injecting genes into cells as part of biotechnology research. To mark its 50th anniversary in 2005, Chuo Precision Industrial developed a novel optical measurement device based on a new concept that better meets the needs of the market. We are now cultivating new business in the area of optical measurement technology.
