Description :

The conference will be hold in Prague, Czech Republic and is organized by the Institute of Physics of the AS CR in cooperation with group of scientists whose started the ICFSI series in Marseille, France 1985. This series brings together members of semiconductor physics communities to present and discuss advances of frontier trends in the broad area of semiconductor surfaces and interfaces. The conference will concentrate on the role played by structures, chemistry and dynamical phenomena in the application at bio-interfaces, biocompatible materials, medicine and environmental issues as well as in different issues of the future electronics. The meeting will also address topics in the application of theoretical approaches and simulations of interfaces and nanostructures.

Topics:

  • Liquid-solid state interfaces
  • Metal-semiconductor and insulator-semiconductor interfaces: towards functional devices (solar cells, sensors, FET etc.)
  • Heterojunctions and heterostructures
  • Semiconductor surface passivation
  • Surface and interface chemistry
  • Dynamical phenomena at surface and interfaces (Surface diffusion and growth)
  • Oxides, nitrides and high-k dielectrics
  • Advanced experimental techniques for surface and interface characterization and modification
  • State-of-the-art theoretical approaches and simulations of interfaces and nanostructures (weak interactions)
  • Semiconductor surfaces and interfaces: applications in biosensors, medicine and environmental issues
  • Nanoelectronics, molecular electronics, nanophotonics, and spintronics
  • C-based materials (graphene, diamnond surface, CNT etc.)
  • Biointerfaces and Biocompatible materials
