The 8th International Conference on Nitride Semiconductors (ICNS 2009) will be held at the International Convention Center in Jeju Island (ICC Jeju), Korea, during October 18 ~ 23, 2009.

ICNS 2009 continues a series of conferences that are the premier forum for reporting research results in Epitaxial Growth, Bulk Crystal Growth, Theory & Optoelectronic/Magnetic Properties, Materials Issues, Defect Engineering, Structural Analysis, Optical and Electrical Characterization, and Nanostructures and Devices for Nitride Semiconductors. The Conference offers plenary talks as well as contributed oral presentations and posters selected from submitted abstracts.

The Jeju Island known as the Korean Hawaii which is full of legends, myths, and picturesque sceneries.

It is a gentle oval shaped volcanic island with a dormant volcano, Mt. Halla, located at the center of the island, and is attracted as one of the most famous tourist destinations for sight spots in the world. This island is also surrounded by a variety of other attractions including golf, fishing, and scuba diving.

We anticipate more than 800 worldwide scientists and professionals engaged in research on and the use of all aspects of nitride semiconductors.
