Pioneers of micro-, nano-, and multifocus X-ray inspection technology, the company was founded in 1982 as feinfocus Rontgen-Systeme GmbH in Garbsen, Germany. It was there that the first patented "open" X-ray tube was developed. FeinFocus was founded in 1987 and now has headquarters in Stamford, Conn., as well as a Technical Resource Center in San Jose, Calif. Today, the company offers not only X-ray sources and complete, radiation-shielded X-ray equipment, but also has full in-house failure analysis and component defect detection services, technical service of systems, and preventative maintenance for both Feinfocus and third-party systems.
